  1. Our Environmental Credentials

    Environmental Responsibility in Print

At a time when environmental awareness is more important than ever, print companies have a responsibility to operate sustainably and minimise their ecological footprint. From the materials used to the production processes and delivery methods, every step of the print journey offers an opportunity to make greener choices.

    Sustainable Paper Sourcing

We use paper from responsibly managed forests, certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) or Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC). Working with reputable UK-based paper merchants that provide full traceability and prioritise environmental ethics.

    Processes

We use the most energy and paper efficient processes for our clients work. Digital print means it is possible for us to reduce waste for small quantities and litho presses using vegetable based inks for longer runs. These inks reduce harmful emissions and are easier to remove during the recycling process, making them a more sustainable option.

    Energy-Efficient Equipment

When upgrading equipment we invest in energy-efficient machinery and maintain it regularly for optimal performance. Wherever possible, we choose equipment with energy-saving certification and aim to reduce idle time, unnecessary warm-ups and make readies.

    Digital Proofing & Workflow

We use a digital proofing system to reduce paper waste during the approval process. Digital workflows also improve efficiency, streamline production, and reduce energy and material use across multiple departments.

    Waste Recycling and Reduction

We have a firm grip on waste management and the recycling of paper waste, overs and off-cuts. We work with environmental partners who safely remove and dispose of chemical waste including inks & toners as well as metal plates and fluorescent tubes.

    We minimise waste wherever by:

    • Accurately estimating print runs to reduce overproduction.
    • Reusing or recycling offcuts, plates, packaging, and waste paper.
    • Implementing a comprehensive recycling programme for paper, plastics, and toner cartridges.

    Staff Training &Green Culture

We encourage an environmentally responsible workplace culture. We advise staff on best practices, from responsible material handling to energy conservation. We promote awareness and reward sustainable thinking across all levels of the business. We also provide the necessary infrastructure to allow this to happen.
